About Us
Betty has written extensively about her life and travels in Europe for the last five years and was encouraged by her readers to put "pen to paper" and write a book. She went back to her "hometown roots" and after a year of research and revisions, has published her first book entitled, "Crabbing Days of an Islander".
Biography
A native of Saint Simons Island, GA, Betty "Owens"
Sattler served as a supportive spouse during her late husband's seventeen years of naval service before embarking on her own career in 1983. Mrs. Sattler held several key positions in the civilian sector, specializing in sales to the government of high purity specialty semiconductor gases; and serving as Director of Business Development for two private biotechnology companies specializing in gene synthesis and DNA engineering. Ms. Sattler married William Wright Cory in 2008 and has lived an international life supporting her husband’s aerospace career in Italy where she began writing about her travels abroad. Friends and family encouraged her writing and the result was a return to her roots when her first book “Crabbing Days of an Islander” was published in 2010.
